Departure and Arrival Times
Departure is by 10am and arrival from 4pm. Circumstances may allow these times to be amended by prior agreement where possible to accommodate guests individual travel arrangements. We will try to be flexible.
What’s included
The price of your booking includes, accommodation, hot tub, linen, towels, dressing gowns, electricity, heating, dishwasher, combination microwave/oven, fridge/freezer, smart TV, Hairdryer, Nespresso machine with coffee pods, tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, toiletries and free WIFI.
Cancellation Policy
We appreciate that unforeseen circumstances and events beyond your control may force you to change your plans, and we will do our best to accommodate changes however cannot guarantee these changes..
In the event of adverse weather or breakdown causing you to cancel your booking, we are in no way responsible for any losses so incurred.
A non-refundable deposit of 30% deposit is paid at the time of booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks prior to the start of your stay. If a booking is cancelled within 21 days of arrival, i.e. after full payment has been made, we will endeavour to re-let the cabin and refund any monies paid minus the deposit. If the re-letting is done at a discounted price, this discount will be removed from any monies refunded.
If unsuccessful in re-letting, the guest will not be due any refund. Cancellation to be in writing or email. NOTIFICATION MUST BE RECEIPTED BY US before becoming effective.
Foreign visitors will most likely have travel insurance but domestic visitors are strongly recommended to takeout travel insurance.
Complaints
Any complaints regarding your stay with us should be made in the first instance to one of the Castlecraig Clifftops team at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.
Vehicles & Personal Property
Vehicles, accessories and contents are parked or left at Castlecraig Clifftops at their owner’s risk. The proprietors will not be held responsible for any loss or damage of property or injury to persons not caused through the fault of the proprietor.
Unacceptable Behaviour
We reserve the right to remove or restrict from entering a property, any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property, or exceeding the stated occupancy.
No refunds will be given in this instance.
Strictly No smoking in the cabins or decking area, this will be treated as unreasonable behaviour.
The owner reserves the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition.
You must not re-let or sub let the property, even free of charge.
Damages and Breakages
You are fully responsible for any damage or breakage you or anyone in your party cause to the property, contents or grounds. You must report any such damage at the earliest convenience to enable repair or replacement to be arranged. In the event of damage, we will charge you the value of the item or repair work. We expect the property to be left as it is found.
Dog Policy
We accept dogs. Please make a special request if you would like to bring a dog to Castlecraig Clifftops, a small surcharge is in place to cover additional cleaning requirements. Dogs should not be left unsupervised in the cabins. We ask that you bring old towels to dry your dog off after walks. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture. Dogs must remain on a lead once outside the cabin area as livestock will be present in surrounding fields at all times of the year. All dog waste must be bagged and binned
Hot tubs
All properties have hot tubs. One of the Castlecraig Clifftops team will discreetly check the chemical levels for your own health and safety. Children should not be left unattended.
The hot tub should not be used by
- Children under 4
- Anyone with a serious illness, a heart condition, high or low blood pressure or any other medical condition which may affect your reaction to heat. Consult your Doctor first. Pregnant woman are advised not to use hot tubs or to seek medical advise first. People with diabetes should also check with their doctor prior to using the hot tub.
- Anyone with a contagious disease, infectious skin condition, open sores or wounds.
- Within 1 ½ hours after a heavy meal
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- After exercise, time should be allowed to enable the body temperature to return to normal levels.
Children
Children of all ages are very welcome to Castlecraig Clifftops. Please remember Castlecraig is a working farm. Children should be kept supervised at all times and kept away from machinery, bales, livestock and sporting activities. Read the hot tub rules for the safety of your children.
Shooting and safety
At Castlecraig farm we occasionally have game shoot days run by Chisholm Sporting. These can take place between the start of September and the end of February.
For safety we will notify all guests when there is a shoot in operation. The shoot will never come close to the accommodation area.
Insurance
We strongly advise that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover eventualities. We can not accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation. We also cannot accept liability for any accident, injuries, illness, loss or damage suffered to persons or animals either in the property or around the farm.
N.B We (the owner) reserve the rights to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
We (the owner) or our representative reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
